I give it a 4 star because I havent had it long enough to fully assess its reliability and handling. I did go to the range and fired 90 rounds of which 3 were misfires, but this may have been due to the ammo, not the firearm. Otherwise, I like the feel, weight, handling, the light recoil and the easy pull back of the slide. This will be my main concealed weapon.

Some folks say that the best carry gun caliber starts with a 4 immediately followed by a 5. There''s an old joke about a guy that answers why he carries a .45, he says- because they don''t make a .46! As funny as that is, the #1 rule in a gunfight is- Have a gun! Sometimes if I''m just running out of the house on quick errands or if I have to go shopping all damn day and hold the wife''s purse and don''t feel like strapping on the heavy .45, this Walther is a great carry gun. It''s light and there are a variety of holsters for it. I went with an Uncle Mike''s because I didn''t want a heavy leather holster for a lightweight pistol. I''ve not shot it much beyond 10 yards for accuracy because most gunfights happen within spitting distance, but this thing is a tack driver with some 90 gr JHPs. As for the .45/.357/9mm/.380/.38/.32/.25/.22 carry gun caliber debate, honestly, would you want to be shot with any of them? Not me my friends. Ammo for a .380 is kinda dang pricey too because it''s getting to be a very popular caliber. I only gave it 4 starts because the magazine release is way too fancy. Instead of a simple button where it''s supposed to be located by God and John Moses Browning, you have to depress the piece of the trigger guard that is coming out of the front strap. Not a typo, the mag release is part of the trigger guard, takes some getting used to, otherwise it''s a great pistol. With Walther and Smith & Wesson laser-etched down the right-hand side of the slide, what else would one expect? Mine only came with one mag, but Walther will sell you spares for $35.00.

I own this gun for CC and like it a lot. The size is nice, the slide can be operated with two fingers and the magazine release built into the trigger guard is actually pretty cool. I did have some issues with stove-piping during the first 200-300 rounds. Hasn''t done it once since. Michael
