My New Hand Gun

I just purchased the SP22. I purchased a box of 22 LR shells, loaded up, & began firing. This is one of the most balanced, accurate hand guns I have ever shot. The price is very reasonable also. I am getting the Laser site next, and will report. Walther is my only choice from now on.

Hand-Held Accuracy

This is the most accurate, out-of-the-box pistol I have ever seen! Excellent feel and excellent shooting!!! It is a lot of fun to shoot...ACCURATELY! The only thing I did not like about it is the breaking it down. You must remove 2 screws ]1-each[ for the cocking levers on both sides and the screw on the front to break it down for cleaning. The slide is internal of the aluminum housing you see. You cock the levers on both sides to charge the pistol. Other than the breaking it down, I recommend it! It comes with 1 extra magazine and I also purchased the optional Pic rails for it!

Very accurate and reliable 22lr pistol

This gun has got to be one of the most accurate 22lr pistols below $500. It is also very reliable after break-in. Gun will jam and fail to eject within the first 500 rounds of ammo, but after that even subsonic ammo will feed reliably. Breakdown is annoying, but besides that it is perfect. Gun also shot point-of-aim ]for me at least[.

My experience with Walther SP22 M1

My experience with my Walther SP22 M1 pistol has been very disappointing. I did not buy it from Walther Pistols, but from another dealer. I bought the pistol on line on 5-23-2011. When I got the pistol about a week later, I immediately sent it to Smith & Wesson to be repaired. Later, I learned from S&W that the pistol had a broken trigger. The whole process of sending the pistol to S&W and getting it back took about a month. S&W mailed me a Fed Ex shipping label ]that took a week[ which I used to mail the pistol to S&W. About month later, after I got the pistol back from repairs treads on the spring guidance rod got stripped during shooting. I could not disassemble the pistol to clean it and had to send the pistol back to S&W to be repaired. I sent the pistol to S&W after receiving a Fed Ex shipping label via email. The second time, the process of shipping and repairing the pistol took 2 months. I sent the pistol to S&W to be repaired on August 6, 2011 and I got it back on October 6, 2011. In August 2011, S&W was moving, waiting for parts from Germany, etc. were the explanations I was given why it was taking so long to repair the pistol. Yesterday, October 14, 2011, I took the pistol to the range. After about 120 rounds, the pistol would not discharge. At home I disassembled the pistol and discovered that the assembly pin that keeps the firing pin in place broke and the firing pin came out of the slide. Same day, I called S&W a customer service representative took my information and now I am waiting for a Fed Ex label to be sent to me so I can ship the pistol to S&W to be repaired. In summary, my experience with my Walther SP22 M1 pistol has been very negative. I wish I had never heard of the Walther SP22 M1. I wish I had never bought the pistol. I am dissolution, angry, frustrated, etc. My pistol has spent more time in shipping and being repaired than at a pistol range and, my experience with S&W service department has been not very good.

Nice new look and new generation weapon. Less recoil as well as accurate. Since I have just purchased it,therefore,I will try to report the performance at the later stage.
